The official journey is over — but we’re still moving, still documenting, still listening as we bring the ship back home. The crew has changed: Gigi and Stephan have left; Markus and Christine remain on board, heading upstream with a changing cast of artist-friends. The logbook continues.
The current was weaker today, and we made good progress, reaching the Freudenau lock by late morning. Still, we decided to stop in Vienna – partly to visit our friend Franz from the ship, whom we had already met and interviewed on our way downstream, and partly to replace a leaking fuel injection line.
We had a lovely lunch with Franz and Roswitha – being at this place is always a joy and the fuel injection line is fixed again.
