The official journey is over — but we’re still moving, still documenting, still listening as we bring the ship back home. The crew has changed: Gigi and Stephan have left; Markus and Christine remain on board, heading upstream with a changing cast of artist-friends. The logbook continues.
The day started just like it ended yesterday – stormy. But now the sun is shining, the air is surprisingly cool, and we’re more than fine with a bit of relief from the heat.
I wasn’t sure what to write today, so I asked the crew about their highlight. Turns out, after just a few days on board, perspectives shift dramatically: passing under a big bridge, spotting a ship heading upstream, and watching the Danube’s constantly changing depth all made the list.
Another clear highlight: the avocado toast this morning. Not bad for life on an old steel vessel.
We ended the day at Port Cultural Cetate – a curious place for art and culture. It’s easy to imagine how special it can be – especially with the right people around.
