The official journey is over — but we’re still moving, still documenting, still listening as we bring the ship back home. The crew has changed: Gigi left MaTjoPo when we reached Sulina, and Stephan followed a week later in Tulcea. Markus and Christine remain on board, bringing the ship upstream — accompanied by a changing cast of artist-friends along the way. The logbook continues.
The ship feels strangely empty, even though there are still three of us on board. We’re slowly adjusting to the new situation — the rhythm has shifted, and so has the energy.
Joining us for a few days is Wiltrud Hackl, an artist and author researching waterwomen — both in a broader sense and specifically Die schöne Lau, a figure connected to the Danube Delta.
