Networking within Europe

In a Europe increasingly characterized by political and social divergence, we are witnessing not only the rise of right-wing and far-right forces in our own country but also the growing detachment of other Central and Eastern European nations from shared European values, leading to the erosion of democracies.

This trend is particularly evident in the media sector, where the essential pluralism needed for functional democracies has been significantly restricted in recent years. Civil society media and participatory platforms face challenges ranging from being pushed exclusively online to the revocation of FM licenses and the withdrawal of financial support.

Given these developments, it is all the more important to maintain and strengthen dialogue and networking within Europe. In this context, the In Flux crew will engage in discussions with independent radio stations during the journey.

Additionally, the project will engage with civil society artists, specifically addressing the political and economic challenges they face in their work and inviting them to a collective discourse on potential solutions. Critical and emancipatory art, which resists easy instrumentalization for power or profit, is increasingly under pressure and subject to attacks. In Flux encounters are designed as opportunities for sustainable and mutual exchange, enabling participants to learn from one another and share best practices.
